Celebrating the Art of Learning
Sometimes we get to big that we think we know it all. I just want to celebrate the fact that I don't know it all. The bible teaches us that we don't all that we are. To me, that means that there is so much more to ourselves that God has not revealed to us. In Timothy we learn that God won't give us more than we can bear. That means, we don't know how much we can bear, only God does. So teach me Lord what you would have me to learn, give me only the wisdom you would want me to have. I don't have to learn it all, as long as you have wrapped yours hands around.

Understanding how to follow
When life puts you in a position that you feel there is no way out, all you can do is follow Him. There are times that I have not looked to God for answers and those are the times I should have. Learning and understanding how to follow Him should not be so hard, but we make it hard. That's when God has to step in to get our attention and put us in a position to follow Him. And if we are paying attention we can see Him at work in our lives. I just need to learn how to pay attention.

A Little Change in our Thinking
I've been studing Adam, but I want to change paths and talk about Jeremiah (the weeping prophet). His life was filed with rejection and lots of it. He was went to give Jerusalem bad news and he pleaded and begged them to repent. The people of Jerusalem are like people today. If you read Jeremiah God gives him a word to speak to the people about repenting and they have a chance to turn from their ways, but they feel that they can fool God and tell Him they will change but they never do. We do the same thing, God if you can get me out of this I will change. God knows your ways and actions and what you will do. What stands out to me right now is in Jer: 8-10 How can you say, "We are wise because we have the law of the Lord." when your teachers have twisted it so badly? 9 These wise teachers will be shamed by excile for their sin, for they haved rejected the word of the Lord. Are they wise after all? Timothy talks about false prophets and studying the Word for yourself. Alot of times we don't study and take another persons word. Lord, let me not be a false prophet and teach wrong beliefs. I, like Jeremiah, weep for those who don't know the word, but weep and suffer more for those who know and not listen. Because, like in Jeremiah your wrath is not light and your anger trembles the whole of the world. Reach down and touch those that come across my path and turn them around. In your son's Jesus Christ name I pray Amen.

This is for the men
Ladies, don't use this against your husbands. We are all flawed and have a lot of work to do. The studies are still on Adam, but in a different light. As Adam advocated responsibility, that's what we do. God came to the Garden and asked Adam, where are you. He didn't ask for Eve because the headship was given to Adam. Adam allowed chaos to run ramped in his home and God called him on it. He allowed someone else to minister to his wife and then it started. As a matter of fact, Adam listened to the minister because the word says in Genesis 3: 6 that Adam was with her. So, they were in the wrong church listening to the wrong preacher getting the wrong word. Even though Adam had gone to the right church, and listened to the right minister and received the right word, he still went the wrong way. Men, God gives us the right word, we need to stop second guessing Him and listening to others. Our house is in chaos, kids running wild, wife all over the place and we are following them. We let others minister to our families and wonder what's wrong. Then we have the nerve to blame others. How dare we consider son's of God when we don't listen to Him. Stop letting others minister to your families. You've been given the word straight from God. It's time for us to stand up and be the ministers of our own hold hold. "So as for me and my house hold, I will be the minister and we will serve the Lord God Almighty"
Let's Play the Blame Game
In my studies, of Adam I continue to learn about that one fatel day that changed the world forever. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit God was walking in the cool of the day in the garden. And asked Adam, where are you. Adam never answered the where, he just told God he was hiding. Then the blame game begins. Adam blamed it on the women God gave to him, then the first words God spoke to Eve was What is this you have done, and Eve blamed the serpant. Nobody wanted to take responsibilty for their actions. This continues today, nobody take blame for their own actions. We are a "point the finger" people. As if God's doesn't know. Also, I noticed that their eyes were not opened until the man at the fruit. There are 3 different sins that were introduced, Disbelief (disregarding God's Word and believing Satan instead) Gen 2:16-17, 3: 1-7. Disobedience (acting on personal desire and rejecting God's Word) Gen: 3:6. Lusting (not being content with what is given) Gen 3:6; I John 2:17-18. The other thing I noticed is Eve was not given her name until after they sinned. Next, we will go over the punishment, unless more is revieled to me. See you soon.
